This website is owned and operated by Brooch Industries Pvt. Ltd. ("Brooch", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in India with its office at G-8, Near Ganesh Mandir, Guru Prasad Nagar, Prathamesh Nagar, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra – 431006, India.
Brooch operates a B2B industrial marketplace that connects manufacturers, suppliers, recyclers, traders and industrial buyers across metals, scrap & recycling, industrial components, EV components and energy-storage materials. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Brooch is the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed through this website.
02Scope of this policy
This policy applies to everyone who visits our website or uses our services, including:
- Visitors who browse the website.
- Buyers who search for products, send enquiries or post requirements.
- Suppliers who register, create a profile and list products.
- Anyone who contacts us by phone, email, WhatsApp or through a form on the website.
It does not cover the practices of other businesses you deal with through the platform. Once a buyer and supplier connect, each is responsible for how they handle the other's information.
03Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, mobile number, email address, designation and business address.
- Business details: company name, GST number, business registration details, product categories and business documents submitted for supplier verification.
- Product listings: product names, specifications, grades, quantities, locations, pricing and photos uploaded by suppliers.
- Enquiries and requirements: the material you need, quantity, delivery location, timelines and any message you send.
- Account details: login credentials for supplier accounts (passwords are stored in encrypted form).
- Logistics details: pickup and delivery addresses and contact persons, when you use logistics coordination.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, pages visited, time spent and referring website.
- Information stored through cookies and similar technologies (see section 08).
Information from others
- Details shared by a buyer or supplier when they refer you or respond to your enquiry.
- Publicly available business information used to verify suppliers, such as GST registration status.
We do not ask for bank passwords, card numbers, OTPs or PINs through this website. Never share these with anyone claiming to represent Brooch.
04How we use information
We use your information only for purposes connected with our services, including to:
- Create and manage supplier accounts and product listings.
- Deliver buyer enquiries to relevant suppliers and share responses back.
- Match requirements with suitable suppliers and provide sourcing support.
- Verify suppliers and maintain trust and quality on the platform.
- Coordinate logistics and track shipments when you request it.
- Respond to your questions, calls and support requests.
- Send service updates, enquiry alerts and, with your consent, market updates such as daily rates.
- Improve the website, understand how it is used and fix problems.
- Prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents.
- Meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.
05Consent and legal basis
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a form, register as a supplier, post a requirement or otherwise share your details with us. We also process data where it is needed for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as meeting a legal obligation or responding to a request you have made.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us (see section 16). Withdrawing consent will not affect processing already carried out, but it may mean we can no longer provide some services, such as keeping your supplier listing live.
07Public supplier profiles
Supplier profiles and product listings are designed to be seen by buyers. Information a supplier adds to a public profile, such as company name, city, product categories, listings, photos and verification badge, may be visible to all visitors and may appear in search engines.
Suppliers control what they publish and can edit or remove their listings from their dashboard or by contacting us. Please do not add personal information to a public listing that you do not want others to see.
08Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to:
- Keep you logged in to your supplier account and remember your preferences.
- Understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it.
- Keep the website secure.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website, such as supplier login, may not work properly without them.
09Communications
When you share your phone number or email, we may contact you by call, SMS, WhatsApp or email about your enquiries, listings, account and orders. These service messages are part of using the platform.
Promotional messages, such as market updates or new features, are sent only with your consent. You can opt out at any time by replying "STOP", using the unsubscribe link in emails, or writing to us.
10Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). When a supplier account is closed or consent is withdrawn, we delete or anonymise the related data within a reasonable time, except where we must keep it for legal reasons or to resolve disputes.

We use reasonable security practices to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure hosting, encrypted password storage and access limited to people who need it for their work.
No website or internet transmission is completely secure. Please keep your login details private and let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. If a personal data breach occurs, we will act on it and notify affected users and authorities as required by law.
